The 29th Annual Meeting of the Thai Society for Biotechnology and International Conference
The 29th Annual Meeting of the Thai Society for Biotechnology and International Conference under the theme “Frontiers in Applied Biotechnology” is organized by the Thai Society for Biotechnology (TSB) and Department of Agro-Industrial, Food, and Environmental Technology (AFET), Faculty of Applied Science, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB). Conducted in English, the conference, will take place from 23rd to 25th November, 2017 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The conference will emphasize all disciplines of biotechnology. The conference will depict Thailand as a tropical country comprising wealthy natural resources. The highlight will be the modern biotechnology-based innovative products developed from the natural resources that would be essentially beneficial for our life to sustainably survive in the changing world.
This conference is aimed to be a leading international conference for researchers to present fundamental, novel and advance knowledge or findings in all fields of biotechnology. It will provide an excellent opportunity to all participants to establish networks, to share ideas and to form partnerships with biotechnology-based private sectors, equipment manufacturers, technology providers, and biotechnology associations, research institutes, universities, biotechnologists and biotechnology students.
The conference will cover the main aspects of biotechnology in the following topics.

Welcome message from conference chair
On behalf of the TSB 2017 organizing committee, I am honored and delighted to welcome all the delegates to the 29th Annual Meeting of the Thai Society for Biotechnology and International Conference at Swissôtel Le Concorde, Bangkok, Thailand. The conference theme will be “Frontiers in Applied Biotechnology”. The conference and Exhibition will take place from November 23 to 25, 2017. This annual event will give participants a platform to exchange ideas, discover novel opportunities, reacquaint with colleagues, meet new friends, and broaden their knowledge.
We are pleased to have Professor Dr. Takeharu Nagai (Osaka University, Japan) and Professor Dr. Anchalee Tassanakajon (Chulalongkorn University, Thailand) as the plenary speakers. In addition, we also have panel discussion on “Next Gen Biotech Business” and we invited 12 speakers (both local and overseas) who will give talks on emerging topics related to diverse disciplines of Biotechnology. The oral presentation will be presented in 7 sessions, including a special Thai-Japanese Biotechnology Joint Session on Enzyme Engineering for Industries. Poster presentation on the paralleled topics is also welcomed.
